Rupert Blamire Ceramic Quaich

The quaich (pronounced "quake", from the Gaelic word "cuach") has a rich heritage in Scotland. It is a uniquely Scottish invention, having no apparent connection to any other European drinking vessel. It was traditionally used to welcome as well as say farewell to guests, usually with a dram of whisky. Aprox size: 12.5 cm x 4 cm All the Rupert Blamire products are made on a potters wheel and hand glazed, each piece is unique, therefore size and colours may vary slightly. All the work is high fired earthenware and is durable, tactile and serves a purpose.
